Hi. My name is Niki. Well, Nikita, but you don’t really need the ‘ta’.
This space is going to be me turning word vomit (i.e. my thoughts) into decent sentences to give you a glimpse into the things I see and experience behind the scenes at #ABtalks. These are straight from my journal; real and raw, just like the show.
(this was Anas’s idea, by the way, so if I reveal too much, you asked for it, bro)
Truth be told, I prefer pen(cil) to paper. This post was written in some God-awful handwriting in my journal at 1:15 a.m. on July 25, 2020, and you probably won’t be able to understand it anyway, so here’s to Noor (our Graphic Designer) for digitizing it.
Speaking of Noor, I’ve decided to dedicate this first post to my team. I foresee a lot of them featuring in these posts. I might actually write one for each one of them soon, so you get to know and love them as much as I do. Zekey, Abboud, Loujain and Noor (just a handful of the ridiculously talented family at Bukhash Brothers) make the #ABtalks team.
Do we make mistakes? Yes.
Do we think we know it all? No.
Do we fight till we want to rip each other’s hair apart, but then tear a little when the intro sequence begins on the final export? Always.
There’s a lot that happens behind what you see on the screen that goes unnoticed, and I’m here to shine the spotlight on those moments; the good and the not-so-good. I’ve always believed we’re onto something great, and lately I feel it stronger than ever.
(especially on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. GST)
